How long you have been in business?
We have been building websites and web applications since 2004 for friends and family. However since 2007 we just got more serious about it and started to work on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) along with impactful websites for specific markets such as “website for doctors”, “website for authors”, and “website for small businesses”. And we have been very successful :-)
What kind of hosting are you offering?
We offer Cloud Hosting for better performance, which not only directly affects Google search engine ranking but also it will give a better experience for your website’s visitors. We do daily, weekly, and monthly backup of all of our websites.
What kind of email services are you running?
We offer one of the best email services that exist in the market: Google App. It is a suite of email, calendar, chat, and other collaboration tools for your business hosted by Google. It has full iPhone, Android, Windows, and Blackberry synchronization capability along with instant email search. Branded emails will give you and your employees name@yourcompany.com accounts.
What is your return policy?
Once your website is created, it will be hosted with us for one year (12 months). We will return 50% of the price of the package you have paid and chosen.
Who owns my domain names?
You can buy the domain and we will ask you to make some minor changes in order to point it to our server or we buy the domain for you. Either you buy the domain or we buy it, it’s a service included in all of our packages at SnapWebsite. If you bought it and own it, you are responsible to update and pay your dues to your registrar (example: GoDaddy, NetworkSolutions, Register). We recommend we buy, host, and manage your domains. If you ever decide to move your hosting and services to another company, we will be helping you with your domain migration to the new hosting company.
Where are you based?
We are based in beautiful Bay Area, in Northern California. Our office and core team are here in San Jose but we have extended team members in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and South Carolina, and Europe :-)
What if I would like change hosting company?
We’ll be sad but you certainly can. And we will help you with the migration to the new host. However, bear in mind that your platform is a combination of a database and a content management system (WordPress). The look and feel of your website, also known as template, is ours and can only be used if and when hosted with SnapWebsite. We will be more than happy to give you the content of your website and all your photos in a package. The content is in a XML format.
What if I would like to stop my services?
We hope you stay with us as long as possible. But you decide to stop services, please let us know and we will stop your hosting and if we own and manage your domain, we’ll stop those too. As for payment, we are charging yearly fee in order to keep a leaner operation and a lower prices for our customers. We will not renew your account for the following year.
How can I add and remove email addresses?
We previously gave access to our clients in order to add, change, remove, or do other administrative tasks for their emails. However, we decided to undertake the email management ourselves starting January 2011. All you have to do is to send a request in our contact page and we’ll take care of it for you.
How can I change the content of my website?
One of the strength of our services is your ability to change the content of the site. Though we do not recommend periodic changes, we’ll grant you access to your website pages. If you have trouble, or would like us to make those changes, just contact us and we’ll do them for you. We typically do not charge for changes, addition, or deletion of content. However if your changes are major, we will let you know and we might charge you some customization fee.
What are my benefits as a NGO?
We would like to support non-profit causes that making this world a better place to live. Our pricing with NGOs and Non-Profits is low and we only accept a handful of those a month. In 2011, we accept applications for this category and we pick up to 2 websites a month.
What if i currently have a website?
This is a common question we’ve been asked. Many of our clients have a website with services such as GoDaddy, Yahoo Websites, Wix, or Homestead but they do not show up on search engines or just not happy with their website. At SnapWebsite, we have decided to give turn-key solution (Website Presence & Search Visibility) to all of our clients. One of our main advantages over the competition is that we are building your website over a well-know content management framework, WordPress, and that will help us in your search engine positioning. In summary, we rebuild your website from scratch and we’ll do our best to look like the old one.
